There are two ways to make money in business, the "quick way" and the "slow hard way". we have chosen the latter. Ok the question most people are now wanting to ask is "WHY?". Well its simples.. The "quick way" often involves being dishonest, cutting corners and will always lead to business closure. On the other hand the "slow hard way" method involves building a viable stable business by gaining loyal customers who through experiance have learnt to trust in the service we provide.

Pam

We call her BOSS, anything for a quite life. Pam is probable the first person you will see as you enter the shop. Pam's role in the business involves running the Internet cafe, taking telephone bookings for our daily call outs and processing the bookings for all work dropped in to our shop.

Kai

Kai (Pronounced "K-eye") or as we like to call him "the son who will never leave home" is one of our most important assets to the team. Kai has a very extensive knowledge of modern computing, his experience is awesome in terms of all the latest technologies.

If you are a gamer, Kai is your first choice for questions relating to the latest graphic cards and peripherals. Kai is also tenacious in the pursuit of the perfect fix, once he gets his hands on one of those problem PC;s that seams unfixable, he will not give up until a fix can be suggested. Kai is relatively new to the computer world having worked in it for only eight years, but his youth means that he is akin to a sponge and easily absorbs the latest knowledge relating to technology..

Kai also trained at the Grimsby  College, in WEB Design and Creation. During his time working in the family business he has been responsible for the creation of several excellent client web sites.

Kai is also a keen "World of Warcraft"layer and spends many many hours competing with friends around the world, I don't understand this game myself but am told that its very popular, in my eyes its a geeks version of the old board game "Dungeons and Dragons"

Me (Brian)

Started working in I.T. at the age of 20 installing computer data cable for large networks. This lead the way in to computing via a series of I.T training courses initially obtaining "CNE" accreditation and some time after "MCNE" "Master Certified Novell Engineer".

As times changed Microsoft became the dominate provider of Operating systems prompting Re-training, and thus i obtained Microsoft certification in the form of.

• Microsoft Certified Professional "MCP"
• Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet "MCP+I"
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer "MCSE"
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer + Internet "MCSE+i"
• Microsoft Certified Trainer "MCT"

Other Computer related qualification obtained includes.

• IBM Personal Computer Warranty Engineer
• AST Warranty Engineer

Having achieved the previous qualifications it opened the doors to many computer related contracts and I was lucky enough to have worked as a independent consultant for many well know companies. My specialty was servers and email systems, I have been involved at high level in the implementation of these systems for companies such as

Anglian Water, Merrill Linch, London Underground, BMW, Grampian Country Foods, Bank of Italy, Tencel (Courtaulds, Lenzing) but to name a few...

In 2001 I set up a company called UKHelpDesk, providing outsourced helpdesk support to small to medium sized business. I employed a dedicated team of skilled engineers, my role in the company as well as the obvious management, was as a consultant visiting many companies and helping them change their I.C.T strategy to get the most out of the technology investment.

In 2006, I sold my company to a local competitor and long time friend, thus my life is Spain commenced, Doing nothing, sitting by the pool, sipping on a cold beer.....

Well this lasted a few months before boredom set in and "hay presto" ThePCShop was born an exciting challenge in a already crowded market, BUT this was made easy knowing that we had the advantage of starting a profession that was based on my core skills and added to the fact that I was passionate at getting every task RIGHT.
